Representative of Connect took part in the plenary meeting of Committee on Artificial Intelligence (CAI)

Committee on Artificial Intelligence (CAI) held 11th meeting in Strasbourg, France from 17th to 19th September 2024. A representative of Connect International had the opportunity to represent Advisory Council on Youth in the meeting and follow the further developments on the Council of Europe Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law which was adopted on 17 May 2024 by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe at its 133th Session. 

During the meeting there was an opportunity for exchange of views with the Director General of Human Rights and Rule of Law on the work that has been done and on the future developments that the Committee on Artificial Intelligence has been working on in regard to the development of the proposed framework and the implementation of the AI act. 

The discussion and further examination of the Draft Methodology for the Risk and Impact Assessment of Artificial Intelligence Systems from the point of view of Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law (HUDERIA) have also been done. 

Connect International is happy to be a part of these discussions as we believe they are important in promoting digital youth rights.
