Celebrating the Success of the Digital Coaching Certifications Conference

On 17 October, the Digital Coaching Certifications Conference, which took place at the Octubre Centre de Cultura Contemporània, brought together professionals and enthusiasts from all over Europe with a common goal: to share ideas, tools and experiences that help to better connect with youth through digital coaching.

This event was part of the European E-coach project, focused on harnessing the best of technology and microcredentials to transform impact in this field.

The day started with a presentation by Jo Sakariassen, founder of Prios and leader of the E-coach project, who spoke about how digital coaching can help young people to develop. He told practical cases that made it clear that these tools are not the future, but the present.

Then Desi Tsvetanova, professional coach from Bulgaria, made us reflect on how to adapt these technologies to our local realities, with practical and inspiring advice. After a short break Magda Janiak, an expert in international cooperation, explained how micro-credentials can be a game changer for recognising skills in this field.

We closed the event with a panel discussion which was undoubtedly one of the favourite moments of the day. Three women with experience in youth projects and activism shared their stories. Elizabeth Pérez, social integrator, spoke about how working with young people from the perspective of inclusion can change lives. Susanna Martínez, graphic designer and activist, recalled the importance of caring for youth welfare through local initiatives. And Pilar Ferrero, journalist and social worker, highlighted the need to listen to young people and build projects that really involve them. In addition, attendees participated in group discussions where fresh ideas were shared on how to use digital tools in youth work.
