Connect participated in “Working Towards an EU Teachers and Trainers Agenda” Webinar

On March 12th, 2025, during the ELNE WEBINAR WEEK, a representative of Connect participated in the seminar “Working Towards an EU Teachers and Trainers Agenda,” where the current state-of-the-art of educational policies and future prospects of the EU Teachers and Trainers Agenda were discussed.

The seminar featured educational stakeholders including teachers, civil society organisations, and members of the European Commission (DG EAC).

During the meaningful debate, many issues were tackled: from the one of blurred lines among stakeholders’ roles in the educational environment, to the need of fixing benchmarks of assessment on the Agenda’s progression, to the importance of making schools safe educational settings for students while motivating teachers and prompting the diversification of their careers.

Then, Connect’s member presented our research showing the problem of low rate of digital literacy among not only students but also teachers, parents and non-formal educators, and commented on the collaboration among stakeholders—a communicative effort that must start from primary school.
