Evidence shows that volunteering is beneficial in many areas, but unfortunately the methods used to measure the impact of volunteering are lacking. Beyond Barriers Association together with the Center for European Volunteering (CEV)in Belgium and four other partners from Albania, the UK, Spain, and Croatia, have the pleasure to announce an innovative online platform called “Volunteering Impact”, designed to help organizations working with volunteers, as well as volunteers themselves to measure and enhance the impact of their volunteering activities across Europe and its neighboring regions.
Through the VCALC project we will build the capacity of organizations to work transnationally and across sectors and at the same time address common needs and priorities for stakeholders that include volunteers in the fields of education, training, youth and sport, among others. The online platform, impact measurement methodology and training activities, together with policy development work, will enable transformation and change at individual, organizational and sectoral levels, leading to improvements and new approaches, in a wide variety of different contexts of volunteering.
As part of this initiative, we are organizing a series of online training sessions specifically for associations that manage volunteers. These sessions are intended to equip managers of volunteers with the skills needed to effectively use our new platform to measure the impact of their volunteer programs but also discuss more on the impact of volunteering.
Check out the website of the project for more info and do not hesitate to register in one of our trainings, according to your availability: https://www.europeanvolunteercentre.org/vcalc
