On April 29, 2025, Connect International will host a multiplier event in its office in Brussels as part of the “AI4Youth” project, conducted in collaboration with Backslash and BUM.
Ensuring innovative e-learning opportunities for AI literacy, the project helps youth workers and young people in general with their technological skills and creates a path to work together with AI tools.
The event will depict a critical opportunity for Brussels-based youth workers, educators, policy makers, institutional representatives, and young people to engage with the outcomes of our joint efforts. It builds upon the foundations laid during the “Shaping the Future: AI4Youth Conference” held in February 2025, where with the help of the aforementioned stakeholders, we worked on the policy drafted by Our experts.
- What will the event be about?
After February’s consultation process, policy recommendations on the benefits, challenges and opportunities of using AI with young people were produced. As a result, on April 29, Connect will present the Safeguarding Young People’s Education and Employment in the AI Era policy recommendations.
Building on this part, Connect will host a panel discussion further sparking the conversation on our policy recommendations’ topics—what needs to be changed, the next institutional steps relevant authorities ought to follow, and good practices that everyone can reiterate in their daily lives. The panelists will be:
- Bojan Kordalov, European Centre of Excellence (ECE Brussels);
- Zia Perko Rogelj Advisory Council on Youth, Council of Europe;
- Nemanja Radojkovic, AI specialist, Inference;
- Who can participate?
Connect welcomes all the stakeholders active in the youth sphere and NGO sector, including youth workers, youth organization representatives, educators, policymakers, and, of course, the target of our shared efforts—young people.
We also extend the invitation to individuals with a general understanding of AI and who want to grasp digitalization’s broader impact on today’s social landscape.
Note that, as we are unable to reimburse travel expenses for this event, we particularly encourage participation from individuals already based in Brussels.
