The representative of CONNECT International had an opportunity to participate in the Training Course on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy which was organized by the Youth Department of the Council of Europe in Budapest from 28 March to April 1, 2022. The course brought together young multipliers from all around Europe in order to explore what AI Literacy is, to understand where AI exists in young people’s every-day life and to discuss what youth organizations need in order to contribute to increased AI Literacy of the young people. 

The course focused on exploring artificial intelligence from a human rights perspective by looking specifically at its ethical side and by understanding the Council of Europe’s approach to the topic. The participants also explored how to act as multipliers for AI Literacy with young people and how to use innovative educational tools and methods when working with them. Actions were planned both online and offline to reach different groups of young people and introduce them to the topic. 

CONNECT will continue to be involved in the process of awareness raising and informing young people on the impact of artificial intelligence on their lives.
