If you are a person with an interesting, unique, or engaging life story or you simply want to introduce people to your culture, traditions, religion, or another segment of your identity we are inviting you to become a LIVING BOOK within the project “European Living Library for young citizens”. The goal of this project is to bring living libraries to cities in Serbia, Greece, Bosnia-Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Spain, and Slovenia with the goal to boost dialogue, break prejudice and promote European values among citizens of all social, ethnic, or economic backgrounds.

By becoming a living book you will get a chance to:

• Talk with people from all around Europe and introduce them to your personal story.
• Take part in the deconstruction of stereotypes and prejudice.
• Discuss with your peers the future of Europe and what it means to be its citizen.

WHO CAN APPLY?

You can apply if:

• You belong to one of these 4 categories: young people, women, migrants, elderly people
• You come from Serbia, Greece, Bosnia-Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Spain or Slovenia,
• You have decent English speaking skills,
• You are ready to follow COVID19 prevention rules and measures,
• You are willing to actively participate in the implementation of the project and living library events.

HOW WILL YOUR TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION COSTS BE COVERED?

Organizers will cover all costs related to living book‘s travel, accommodation, and food. Participants are obliged to use the most cost-efficient means of travel. Organizers will cover travel costs in accordance with CONNECT International’s guidelines on travel expenses reimbursement, depending on the country of origin.

If you are selected you will be provided with additional information on the dates and locations of living library events in the six aforementioned countries.
