CONNECT International network attended the Youth Progress Index’23 Launch Event, which happened on the 18th of October in Brussels and was organised by the Europen Youth Forum.

They introduced a new tool that can be used for measuring the process of the quality of life of young people around the world – the Youth Progress Index. (Link: https://youthprogressindex.org/). 

During the launch event, EYF highlighted the most important findings from the report and hosted a panel discussion that dove deeper into what the Youth Progress Index will bring to the future, with the following key speakers: 

• Matjaž Gruden- Director of Democratic Participation at the Council of Europe, 
• Elena Kountouri Tapiero- UN Regional Representative for Europe
• Hanna Stahle- Head of Foresight and Innovation at Philanthropy Europe Association (Philea)
• Cristina Bacalso – Members of the Pool of European Youth Researchers

It provided a better insight into understanding young people’s issues and developed more inclusive and efficient policies and projects using data.
