Connect International representatives attended the presentation and discussion event for the publication “Countering Youth Euroscepticism in the Western Balkans: The Case of North Macedonia” at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Organized by the European Centre of Excellence (ECE Brussels), the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, and the IDUEP Institute from North Macedonia, and hosted by Irena Joveva, Member of the European Parliament, the event explored key findings and practical recommendations for addressing youth Euroscepticism in the region.

The program featured:

● Presentation of research findings and policy recommendations

● Open discussion on strategies for strengthening youth engagement with European integration

● Networking opportunities with researchers, policy-makers, and civil society organizations

The publication examines factors contributing to Euroscepticism among young people in North Macedonia and proposes actionable approaches to foster more constructive engagement with the European Union. The research provides valuable insights into youth perspectives on EU enlargement and democratic development in the Western Balkans.
