The representative of Connect International took part in the induction course of the Advisory Council on Youth at the Council of Europe, marking the start of the 2026–2027 mandate and the second consecutive term for our network.

Alongside representatives of 29 other civil society organisations, members exchanged views with the Chair of the Steering Committee on Youth. Together, these two bodies form the Joint Council on Youth, whose Chair reaffirmed a strong commitment to keeping youth perspectives at the forefront of the guidelines and recommendations that shape the Council of Europe’s work on human rights, the rule of law, and democratic values.

Over the next two years, our representative will focus on promoting a safer digital environment for young Europeans by strengthening AI and online literacy and expanding opportunities for meaningful engagement and employment in this area.

Connect International will also contribute through desk-based research, supporting the Council of Europe’s efforts to keep young people at the centre of today’s policies.
