CONNECT International organised open days in Brussels to present the results developed within the EmpowerHER project and to engage local stakeholders, youth workers, young people and organisations interested in gender equality, youth work and entrepreneurship education.
EmpowerHER is an Erasmus+ project focused on addressing gender imbalance in entrepreneurship, with a special focus on young women aged 16–21, especially those from vulnerable backgrounds. The project aims to strengthen their entrepreneurial and transversal competences, encourage active citizenship, and inspire them to explore entrepreneurship as a possible pathway for personal, professional and community development.
During the open days, CONNECT International participants had the opportunity to learn more about the EmpowerHER approach, which combines entrepreneurship education, digital innovation, role models, mentoring, storytelling and gamified learning.
A particular focus was placed on the practical resources developed through the project, including:

These resources are designed to support youth workers in becoming mentors and facilitators who can guide young women in developing entrepreneurial ideas, problem-solving skills, confidence and initiative.
Through discussion and exchange, participants reflected on the importance of creating more inclusive spaces where young women can develop entrepreneurial competences, connect with role models and receive support from youth workers, trainers and local communities.
