MoveIt actively participated in the 1st Thess Connect: Youth & Policy in Dialogue, held in Thessaloniki, an event that brought together more than 120 participants and placed young people’s voices, ideas and capacities at the center of policy discussions. Through its active engagement in the panels and open dialogue with policymakers and academics, MoveIt highlighted the role of youth as informed and essential stakeholders in shaping responses to key challenges such as employment, economic inequalities, and education. The event featured high-level speakers, including the the Mayor of Thessaloniki, the Dean of the Hellenic Parliament, the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security, a Member of Parliament and the Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports responsible for Higher Education, also President of the Thessaloniki Youth Council and the President of the Alumni Body of the Thessaloniki Youth Council. Overall, the event underscored the importance of empowering young people, recognizing their skills and perspectives, and strengthening their meaningful participation in decision-making processes.
