On June 18th, 2026 MoveIt participated in the “Social Policy Multi-Event” organized by the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Deputy Mayor’s Office for Social Policy at the Thessaloniki City Hall. It was a three-day open event of dialogue, cooperation and participation, with the contribution of organizations, civil society bodies, scientific and educational institutions, social structures, voluntary organizations and citizens. Through discussions, workshops, presentations and awareness-raising actions, the event highlighted contemporary social challenges, enabled the exchange of good practices and contributed to the formation of a strong and participatory social policy for the city of Thessaloniki.

As an active local youth organization working on a cross-sectoral level, MoveIt was invited to contribute to the event focusing on the emerging challenge of violence and aggression among young people and children. With the contribution of local sports clubs and associations and the support of volunteers MoveIt delivered a multilevel workshop focusing on addressing violence through raising social competences and enhancing emotional intelligence.
It was an amazing experience for both organizers and participants and MoveIt is already cooperating with the Municipality for follow-up events and activities.
