The project focused on enhancing the skills of youth workers while promoting the social inclusion of young people. The project is implemented under Erasmus+ Programme, KA210-YOU – Small-scale partnerships in youth. By emphasizing compassion in youth work, it aimed to develop and implement innovative solutions that met the needs of youth in a more empathetic and effective manner. The project seek to create a more compassionate society by encouraging individuals and organizations involved to adopt compassionate approaches. Key activities included an international conference centered on expanding the scientific definition of compassion, a research initiative to assess the impact of compassion on both professional and personal life, and the digitization of the workbook Leadership Based on Compassion. The project also involved the development of an educational module, which was pilot-tested at the national level. By introducing compassion as a core value in youth work, the project aimed to improve the well-being of young people and explore new approaches that better addressed their needs. It strived to positively impact the quality, innovation, and recognition of youth work, making it more responsive to the needs and interests of young people. Furthermore, the project aimed to foster social inclusion, cooperation, and active youth citizenship by developing methodologies that encouraged compassion-based ecosystems within youth organizations, enhancing their capacity for both practical compassion and self-compassion.
