Description for general use

This project is implemented under Erasmus+ Programme, Partnerships for Cooperation in the fields of education and training and youth – European NGO and it aims to empower youth organizations across Europe to adapt to the digital shift in youth work by enhancing their capacities, expanding their knowledge, and developing innovative digital tools. By engaging youth organizations and young people in the co-creation of systematic and innovative solutions, the project ensured that digital youth work effectively mirrored in-person activities in three key areas: internal organizational work, non-formal education, and networking. To support this transition, the project provided the necessary resources and training for youth organizations to seamlessly integrate digital work without compromising their impact, principles, or values. Additionally, it fostered connections among youth organizations across Europe, encouraging online activism and participation. The main outcome of the project was the DigitalYOU Platform, a comprehensive online solution featuring three key sections: EMPOWER (a virtual seminar room), ENGAGE (a virtual office), and CONNECT (a networking space), with each function followed by e-learning modules as an open and free resource of knowledge, supporting its users—YOs and their representatives—to raise their skills for high performance in digital youth work and to use the platform to its full capacities. Through these tools, the project facilitated a sustainable and effective digital transformation in youth work.

Project Result 1

Research and Needs Analysis
This foundational research mapped the needs and challenges faced by youth organizations in the field of digital transformation. Through surveys involving 104 participants and the analysis of over 20 key documents, the study identified priority areas for digital youth work. The baseline analysis report informed the project’s direction, while the research shaped the platform’s vision. Additional inputs from a Hackathon and curriculum co-creation meetings laid the groundwork for the development of the DigitalYOu platform, ensuring a strong evidence-based approach.

Type: Studies / Analysis – Research and Needs Assessment

Project Result 2

DigitalYOu Curriculum and Hackathon Solutions
This result includes the development of a structured curriculum for youth organizations based on the Engage, Empower, and Connect pillars. The curriculum was co-created with trainers and experts through interactive sessions, including a Hackathon with 40 participants. The DigitalYOu web platform was developed as an interactive tool, including e-learning modules, a virtual office, a training room, and a digital fair space. A series of Trainings of Trainers (ToT Engage, ToT Empower, and Networkers Training) supported the capacity-building of youth workers, focusing on digital transformation skills and platform usage.

Type: Methodologies / Guidelines – Educational Curriculum and Online Tools

Project Result 3

Training of Trainers (ToTs) and Pool of Trainers (PoT)
Three international ToTs were held in Slovenia, Serbia, and Spain, reaching over 60 participants and producing tailored curricula. A Pool of Trainers (PoT) consisting of 36 members was established to provide ongoing support and feedback. National Info Days and webinars were held across all partner countries, engaging over 400 youth workers. Two international online fairs showcased the platform’s functionality to 62 youth organizations. These activities ensured wide-scale adoption and continuous improvement of the platform’s tools.

Type: Capacity Building – Trainings and Expert Network

Project Result 4

Communication, Dissemination and Stakeholder Engagement
A comprehensive communication and dissemination strategy was developed, establishing a visual identity and outreach actions for the DigitalYOu platform. A networking event with 62 members was held, supported by a high-impact social media campaign reaching 680,000 users. “Giveaway” campaigns increased visibility and engagement by offering free platform services, including conference rooms and trainer support. Info days organized by each partner reached 189 participants, helping to present the platform’s potential to key youth stakeholders.
