The “Family Friendly Sport” project is implemented under Erasmus+ Programme, Sport Cooperation Partnerships and it is dedicated to developing and promoting methods that unite parents and children in sports, fostering a proactive and meaningful engagement through inclusive activities. The project focuses on integrating family-friendly approaches into sports clubs, creating standardized guidelines, and establishing a European network of certified Family Friendly Sport (FFS) youth organizations and clubs. The project aims to map existing practices and experiences of clubs that have already implemented a family-friendly approach, to create sustainable capacity-building systems for sports clubs, and establish an accreditation and standardization system for clubs wishing to adopt this model. Additionally, it seeks to develop a network of accredited clubs and implement a self-sustaining digital solution, fostering a policy and practice environment that supports the widespread adoption of family-friendly sports. All these efforts resulted in the developmebt of sustainable digital solutions to support and expand this initiative, through a dedicated digital platform which hosts all the FFS resources and serves as an open platform for the FFS community. The project successed in facilitating transgenerational dialogue, enabling families to participate in sports together and strengthen their bonds through physical activity. By promoting active and healthy lifestyles, the project highlighted the crucial role of sports in children’s development while ensuring that adults maintain their mental and physical well-being. To support sports clubs in adopting this approach, the project provided innovative FFS Guidelines and the FFS Label, empowering clubs to make their activities more engaging, attractive, and inclusive for families.

Research Framework & Stakeholder Mapping
This result refers to the creation of a structured research framework that guided the successful implementation of a three-layered research process exploring stakeholders and their practices related to the family-friendly sport approach in Europe. The comprehensive research identified needs, practices, and challenges, laying a strong foundation for all upcoming actions of the project.

FFS Guidelines: Building Capacity for Family-Friendly Sport Clubs
Through collaborative work, participants co-created a vision of the Family Friendly Sport Club and developed the structure for two practical guidelines: one for integrating the family-friendly approach into sports club operations, and one for facilitating intergenerational dialogue through FFS activities. Upon finalization, these guidelines were digitized and integrated into the FFS online platform, ensuring open access to all sports clubs and organizations interested in adopting the approach.

FFS Label & Policy Recommendations
Development of two key strategic components for the long-term implementation of FFS. Firstly, the “Rulebook for Accrediting Sport Clubs for Family Friendly Sport” was created, translated into partner languages, and published, detailing procedures and criteria for obtaining the FFS Label—a mark of excellence and certification for clubs committed to high standards in family-friendly practice. Secondly, collaborative discussions resulted in the development of 10 FFS Policy Recommendations, promoting institutional recognition and support of the FFS approach at the European level.

The FFS Platform
The final achievement of the project is the development and publishing of the FFS online platform (familyfriendlysport.net). Serving as the main hub for all project results, the platform hosts e-learning sections with the two Guidelines, policy recommendations, certification procedures, a pool of experts, and the FFS Network. It is available in five languages (English, Serbian, Greek, Spanish, and North Macedonian), ensuring accessibility and reach across Europe. With its launch, the consortium successfully completed SO5.
