This project is implemented under Erasmus+ Programme, Partnerships for Cooperation in the fields of education and training and youth – European NGO and it aims to develop and strengthen a sustainable digital youth work ecosystem, ensuring the meaningful and qualitative involvement of all stakeholders. To achieve this, it analyzed existing digital youth work practices, policies, and standards, while also co-creating quality standards in collaboration with youth workers and advocating for their implementation. Additionally, it provided training and resources to stakeholders, supporting their effective engagement in digital youth work. A key focus of the project is to empower the youth workers community by helping them enhance the quality of digital youth work. Once the quality standards were finalized, the project actively advocated for their adoption by the CSO community and other relavant stakeholders to establish a more structured and sustainable digital youth work landscape. Through in-depth research, community engagement, and capacity-building initiatives, the project aims to create a long-lasting impact, fostering a high-quality, inclusive, and future-proof digital youth work ecosystem.

RE(In)novate Research Report
The project began with the development of a comprehensive research report that provided an in-depth understanding of the policy and standards landscape in the field of online youth work. The research involved the review and analysis of existing policies, standards, and best practices, alongside primary data collection from 200 stakeholders through surveys and interviews. The report was published online as an open-access resource, ensuring its long-term availability for youth workers, organizations, and policymakers.

Book of Standards “RE(In)novate”
The consortium developed a roadmap for the standardization of existing forms of youth work transferred online, as well as guidelines for creating new ones. The “RE(In)novate” Book of Standards was made freely available online and included a strategic plan to ensure the uptake of these standards by relevant stakeholders. The book aimed to support the long-term application of quality digital youth work practices across Europe.

Curriculum “RE(In)novating Online Youth Work”
A structured curriculum was designed to support youth workers in adapting to the digital transformation of youth work. The curriculum was integrated into the “Digital YOu” platform of Connect International and developed in an editable format, allowing for regular updates every three years. This ensured its sustainability as a living document for continuous learning and adaptation.

E-learning Modules “RE(In)novating Online Youth Work”
Based on the curriculum, the project developed interactive and engaging e-learning modules to equip youth workers with the necessary skills to operate effectively in digital contexts. The modules were hosted on the “Digital YOu” platform and embedded in the daily work of Youth Organisations as a key resource for staff development and capacity building.

Policy Recommendations “RE(In)novate”
To ensure policy-level impact, the project produced a set of policy recommendations aimed at shaping existing youth work policies and promoting the inclusion of digital youth work in relevant frameworks. The recommendations targeted European Commission youth policies, Council of Europe documents, and resolutions of the Committee of the Regions and the Congress. They were developed through collaborative dialogue and published online to support advocacy efforts.
