Project overview
SmartPlay combines artificial intelligence, sports psychology and digital learning to identify dropout risks early, strengthen coaching practice and support girls in maintaining long term participation in sport.
SmartPlay addresses the significant drop in sports participation among adolescent girls by bringing artificial intelligence into coaching, athlete support and dropout prevention. The project combines AI based analytics, sports psychology and digital learning to help coaches recognise early signs of disengagement and respond with personalised support.
The project works with coaches, sports clubs and female athletes to build more supportive, inclusive and motivating sporting environments. Its approach connects technological innovation with real physical training, ensuring that digital tools support rather than replace the relationship between athletes and coaches.
