Project overview
STAR Youth strengthens young people and youth organisations with practical approaches to peacebuilding, dialogue and participation that foster empathy, interethnic respect and social cohesion.
STAR Youth responds to the need for new approaches to peacebuilding and peace education that reflect the realities of young people living in diverse and post conflict communities. The project places youth work at the centre of reconciliation, creating safe spaces where young people can engage in authentic dialogue, challenge biased narratives and build empathy across ethnic, cultural and religious divides.
Through participatory and non formal learning methods, STAR Youth strengthens the capacities of youth organisations and youth workers to support social healing, conflict prevention and meaningful youth participation. Particular attention is given to young people with fewer opportunities and to creating inclusive and accessible learning environments.
