Project overview
Trails for Change brings together outdoor sport organisations, national parks and trail experts to improve sustainable trail management, responsible outdoor recreation and environmentally conscious sporting events.
Trails for Change connects organisations working in mountain biking, hiking, trail running, nature conservation and outdoor sport to create a more sustainable model for recreational trail use across Europe.
The project strengthens cooperation between sports organisations, national parks, advocacy groups and trail specialists while improving knowledge of trail creation, maintenance, classification and conservation. It also promotes environmentally responsible event planning and develops advocacy and digital storytelling capacities that help outdoor sport communities communicate their positive social and regional impact.
