Last week, a representative of Connect participated in an online training under the EmpowerHER project. The session brought together youth workers who wanted to learn how to build capacities for  entrepreneurship among young people, with a particular focus on girls from vulnerable backgrounds.

The training explored innovative approaches to developing entrepreneurial skills, including the use of summer bootcamps and digital tools such as virtual reality to engage participants. Discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening transversal skills like entrepreneurship, especially in contexts where these competences are not yet fully integrated into school curricula across the European Union.

As female entrepreneurship rates remain disproportionately low, initiatives like EmpowerHER play a key role in addressing gender gaps, fostering inclusion and supporting young people in accessing new opportunities.
