The second consortium meeting of the Erasmus+ project SmartPlay took place in Belgrade from 18 to 20 September 2026. The meeting was hosted by Cerak Basketball Club and brought together representatives of the IMPACT Institute (project coordinator), ŠSK Širvintos, CONNECT International and ŽKK Maribor.

SmartPlay addresses the high dropout rate of girls aged 13 to 20 from organized sports. Using artificial intelligence, the project aims to help clubs keep girls engaged in their teams and physically active during this critical period of their lives.

To achieve this, SmartPlay provides clubs with training, workshops and support in program management, together with practical AI tools they can apply in their daily work to strengthen girls’ participation in sport.

Co-funded by the European Union.
