The Kick-Off meeting for the EU-funded project “(Re)Turning Digital – Ethical Approach to Adult Education in the New Digital Environment” was held online, marking the official start of this exciting Erasmus+ initiative. Representatives of all four partner organizations gathered to align on project goals, responsibilities, and the roadmap ahead.
The meeting proved to be highly productive, setting a strong foundation for collaboration among the consortium. Partners worked together to finalize the project management structure and agree on communication tools and workflows. The Project Team was formally established, led by Business Innovation Programs Serbia (BIPS) as the coordinating organization, with active participation from CONNECT International (Belgium), International Institute for the Implementation of Sustainable Development – MIITR (Slovenia), and Open Civic University for Lifelong Learning Kocho Racin (North Macedonia).
During the meeting, partners discussed and agreed on the key project management and communication tools, as well as on the short term activities. The teams also reviewed the overall work plan across the five work packages, clarified roles and responsibilities using a RACI matrix, and identified initial steps for the upcoming research and mapping phase.
About the (Re)Turning Digital Project
The (Re)Turning Digital project builds upon the results of the previous Erasmus+ initiative “Turning Digital,” jointly implemented by BIPS and CONNECT International in 2022–2023. The new project aims to establish an innovative framework for responsible and ethical adult education based on advanced internet-based technologies – including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Blockchain – and to make these resources universally available through the Turning Digital platform.
The project addresses a critical gap: as technology rapidly transforms the labor market, adult educators and learners are often ill-equipped to navigate new digital tools ethically and effectively. ReTurning Digital responds to this challenge by providing capacity-building resources for adult educators, developing training curricula for unemployed adults, and promoting ethical standards in digital education across Europe.
