We are thrilled to announce that STAY – Skills for Thriving, Agency and Youth Engagement has officially kicked off. This project brings together three organisations from Iceland, Spain, and Croatia to tackle one of the most pressing issues facing young people today: quiet quitting.

STAY aims to change the situation by equipping youth workers and young people with practical tools to recognise early disengagement, set healthy boundaries, and build the communication skills they need to stay meaningfully engaged in their first jobs, internships, and volunteering experiences.

Transnational Partner Meeting – Reykjavík, Iceland

In February 2026, the three partner organisations gathered in Iceland for our first Transnational Partner Meeting (TPM), a two-day in-person kick-off hosted by our lead organisation, Rafíflróttasamband Íslands (RISI). This session, called the Content Clinic & Workplan Lock, was the cornerstone moment that aligned the entire consortium around a single, shared roadmap.

Over two facilitated days, the teams confirmed scope, roles, and internal deadlines for the project’s main deliverables. Together we agreed on the structure of the STAY Handbook, defined the logic of the Engagement & Quiet-Quitting Risk Scanner, and locked our translation and accessibility approach.

What comes next

With the workplan now locked, the coming months will be full of activity. Here is what is on the horizon:

March – May 2026 · STAY Handbook
February – June 2026 · Engagement & Quiet-Quitting Risk Scanner
Summer 2026 · Capacity-Building Workshop for Youth Workers
Autumn 2026 · Quiet Circles & STAY Engagement Campaign

This is just the beginning. Over the coming months we will share updates on the handbook, the scanner, pilot results, and opportunities to get involved.
